Katelyn is a proud third-generation Streamwoodite. Both sets of grandparents moved to Streamwood in the mid-70s. She and her family have been there ever since. Katelyn loves her community and is hopeful for the things to come. She knows the importance of small, local involvement and desires for others to see their opportunity to make their town a better place for everyone to thrive.

Katelyn is so passionate about homeownership that she chooses to invest in Fellowship Housing, a charitable organization focused on providing homes for those in need. In addition, Katelyn is an advocate for equitable and quality access to mental health for all. She serves as a board member at Family Service Association of Greater Elgin Area. She believes that mental health is health and desires to remove barriers and stigma that stands in the way of people receiving the care they need. Katelyn is committed to this vision and donates a percentage of each sale to support FSA. Together, her involvement with Fellowship Housing and FSA reveals her dedication to supporting those in her community.

Katelyn lives down the street from her alma mater Streamwood High School with her husband, Carlos, and two children, Isabella and Luca. In their free time, they love exploring outdoors, going to bookstores and libraries, trying new restaurants, and visiting family in Mexico.
